Beaugeais selected to perform as Soloist and Composer
“New Australian and British Sax music by Katia Beaugeais and Adam Gorb”
Australian-French Saxophonist and Composer Dr Katia Beaugeais will perform her circular breathing soprano saxophone piece “Breath by Breath” (2021), which is featured on her ABC solo sax album titled Breath by Breath (on Australia’s prestigious ABC Classic record label) and is ABC’s New Waves main theme tune.
Beaugeais will also perform the world premiere of British composer Prof. Adam Gorb’s “Long Distance Call” (2022). Written for Beaugeais during the pandemic, this piece is a result of the creative collaborative effort between a composer-performer and composer during long distance Zoom calls between Sydney and Manchester.
